All of our players change, sometimes dramatically, from year to year so every new season begins with a fresh start for every player. Two sessions will be held at the York Middle School Fields. Attendance at both evaluations is strongly recommended to make the most accurate assessment for team placement.

* The school year is a general reference for ease of understanding. Soccer Maine classifies ages using a child's age on August 1st. The YSC will always begin the process by keeping grade level players together, however there are times when a player ages out. If your child misses the age date cut off outlined above, unfortunately they will not be able to play with kids in their grade, but will have to play with the grade level above them. This is due to Soccer Maine rules which strictly prohibit a player playing on a younger team. Unfortunately this rule can not be appealed. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
