Please confirm your game times and locations on the master schedule (attached) AND the Soccer Maine schedule. Note that the Soccer Maine schedule only includes “league” games and not friendlies. If there is a discrepancy on your league games, email me right away and we will figure it out.
Whether you are home or away, you MUST connect with the opposing coach to confirm games. A little bit of communication before the game can prevent a huge amount of frustration, particularly when traveling to towns that are further away.
Remember that you are going to need cash in your pocket to pay refs on the field. Each team is responsible for half of the total fee for the game, and the head referee will generally ask for the money prior to the game. Check with Bob Schilling if you have questions about amounts.
Soccer Maine holds all clubs accountable for the behavior of their players, coaches, parents and fans. We have always prided ourselves on being a very classy club. Please model positive behavior for your players and parents – no challenging refs decisions; no abusive language; etc.
For all teams, please report all scores back to me – jthughes@privacyassociation.org.
I would like to keep some unofficial stats of our results throughout the
season.
For U12 and above, you MUST report scores to Soccer Maine if you are the home team. Please cc me on these emails. Here are the contacts for the various divisions:
